Customers with the new D3 V2 / (D3-F) / D3 Version 2 drives now have a solution! Which is very affordable considering everything you get. These drives started appearing about half way through August 2009. So if you have purchased a new console recently, this may be your only option for now. We are recommending the Wiikey over the Drivekey as it does not have a detrimental affect on read speeds which may cause problems with future tittles.

We provide a replacement Nintendo Wii DVD Drive + Wiikey 2 already installed so all you need to do is carefully take your console apart and swap out your old drive for the new one. Keeping your old drive in its original condition will also help if you have any warranty issues down the track. (Installation is available for $20)

This is our recommended solution until a new modchip arrives, alternatively you can purchase a compatible DVD Drive mainboard and swap them around.
